CLOSE EVERY DOOR OF FEAR

Text:
Ephesians 4:20-27

TOPIC:
CLOSE EVERY DOOR OF FEAR

Memory Verse:
Ephesians 4:27

MESSAGE:

So many people today are living with less than God’s best because they have allowed fear to creep in and take root in their lives. Fear is the greatest weapon the enemy uses to try and hold us back. Fear is not from God. The Scripture tells us that fear brings torment. It is designed to paralyse us and keep us from God’s blessings.

The good news is that God is greater than your fear. His power in you is greater than any power that comes against you. But, in order to walk in His power, you have to close the door on the enemy. See, the enemy can’t have access to your life unless you open a door and give him access. And that is why we have to be careful about what we watch, what we listen to, what we read, and what we say. When we open ourselves to fear, we give the enemy opportunity.

If you’ve allowed fear to steal from you in any area of life, today you can be free, you can be finished with fear. Conquering the enemy starts by making the choice to close the door on fear, and instead, meditate on God’s promises. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony! Let His truth sink down into your heart. Declare it out of your mouth. Let Him set you free and lead you into victory as you close the door on fear!

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS:
Unless you close every door of fear, you will remain a slave to the devil.

PRAYER:
Father God, I choose to stand on Your promises. Fill me with Your peace and joy today as I move forward in victory with You in Jesus’ name. Amen

*THE ABIDING PRINCIPLE OF WINNING THE MIND OF GOD*

A principle of winning God’s mind is well revealed in the word of God. In today’s messages, we will be finding the scriptural fact about winning the mind of God. Many people desire to be God’s priority but few ever realize the hope.

“`”I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
John 15:5.“`

When you read John 14:14, it most times proves untrue. This does not mean that God lied about what He would. Think, have you had everything you ever asked in the name of Jesus? My personal answer is, no. This does not mean that I do not believe that I received everything I asked when I prayed; however, there is one truth that cannot be gainsaid. The truth is that God has a will and unless we pray right in the name of Jesus Christ, according to the will of God, we cannot have those things we ask. Hence, Christ calls us to abide in Him so that we can be fruitful. Abiding in Christ implies living the will of God out rightly. Until you understand that fast and prayer cannot twist the hand of God as in to make do what is not in His will, you may never come to terms with His perfect will. Our very prayer ought to focus on doing God’s will in the earth as it is in heaven. When you abide in Christ, you will not ask amiss; abide in Christ hence!

BEAUTIFULFEET Prayer

*Unto the Lord be all the glory. Lead me to walk accordingly in Christ and show me to know and perform Your will on earth as it in heaven in Jesus’ name. Amen!*

*HEED THE CALL TO SEEK THE LORD IN RIGHTEOUSNESS*

There is so much evil in the world today, which makes it seem as if some people have been blindfolded and committed to perpetuate evil. Here is a call unto righteousness and repentance from evil deeds; God has been merciful, be wise.

“`”Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.”
Hosea 10:12.“`

The mercy of God must not be taken for fun. God has pardoned us all for this long because He does not want us to perish in the wrong. The word of God calls on us all to plant righteousness into the soil of mercy that God has ploughed in patience and love. Haven known a part of the mind of our God, His will; we ought to act wise. Unless we are righteous, the good will of God cannot have effect on our own lives. Righteousness is the fertile soil on which the will of God blossoms. You need to change from your bad habits and poor behaviours. Turn away from living a life of pretence and deceit; take a stand for right living. Allow the word of God you have received to break up your fallow grounds, the right time to seek the Lord is now because He has never asked anyone to seek Him in vain. His visitation is near, so prepare yourself for the visitation of the Lord so that you may be refreshed when He comes. Get ready to receive.

BEAUTIFULFEET Prayer

*God almighty, I praise Your holy name forever. Have my life and as I open up my heart, fill me with the right spirit so that I will not miss Your visitation. Amen!*

*TEXT:* Acts 1:1-2, 4 & 8 (LB)

*_Dear friend who loves God: In my first letter I told you about Jesus’ life and teachings and how he returned to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions from the Holy Spirit…he told them not to leave Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came upon them in fulfillment of the Father’s promise,… *But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about me with great effect,…_*

Yesterday, we saw that just like Elisha gave King Joash instructions when he was about to die, Jesus gave us/ His disciples instructions when he was about to die and when he was about to ascend to heaven after His resurrection. Instructions that He expects us to carry out with great zeal. Today we shall look at some of those instructions.
During the last supper, Jesus told His disciples to wash each other’s feet, John 13:34. By saying this, Jesus was instructing us to lay aside pride and to humbly love and serve each other. Jesus said we should love one another just as He has loved us (John 13:34). He also instructed that we break bread and take wine (partake of His body and blood) in remembrance of His death for us (Luke 22:19-20). Jesus instructed us to abide in Him and to bear much fruit so that the Father will be glorified (John 15:4-8). Jesus said in the world we will have tribulation, but we should be of good cheer because He has overcome the world (John 16:33).
Jesus told us that all power in Heaven and in earth has been given to Him. He therefore instructed that we go into all the world and preach the gospel (Mark 16:15) and disciple all nations (Matt. 28:19). Like we see in our text above, Jesus also spoke a lot about our receiving and experiencing/ manifesting the abilities of the Holy Spirit. It is because we have the Holy Spirit that we can fulfil all the instructions that Jesus has given to us.

*Prayer:*
Dear Father, I thank you for the grace to be zealous in showmg love, preaching the gospel, doing exploits and living right.
